Our penchant for conceding before scoring ourselves continued on Saturday.

The fact that it was Queens Park Rangers, adrift at the foot of the Premier League, that were the beneficiaries made it all the more galling.

It`s getting to the stage whereby it appears we need to concede too kick-start our game.

Once again, this has been noticed by one of the players, this time it`s Darren Fletcher who has remarked,

“We`re very frustrated.”

“It shouldn`t take going a goal behind for us to start playing.”

“The only positive we can take form it is that every time we do it we seem to respond. But we can`t keep making a habit of it.”

“After the defeats at Norwich and at Galatasaray, it was important we got a win. Hopefully, now we can kick on and see an improvement in our performances.”

“It wasn`t great to go a goal down in my first Premier League game back. I was thinking, ‘Here we go again`

“But the lads always respond and the most pleasing thing for me about my goal was that it put us 2-1 up.”

“We could have played a bit quicker and taken a few more risks with our passes.”

“QPR were very resilient but we really lifted the pace once we went a goal down.”

But why do we always have to wait until we`ve gone behind before we start performing?

One day, mark my words, it is going to cost us dearly!
