Hull, despite grabbing back their Premier League place, have seen the squad diminish in size and have done very little to bring in recruits.

Still without a manager, it`s being left to another with Manchester United connections Mike Phelan to steer the ship through rocky waters.

Picking up on the vibes in the media, Phelan has admitted in the Hull Daily Mail, Click Here, he`s not sure if the club will be able to make any further signings ahead of their first fixture back in the Premier League against the reigning title holders Leicester City.

As for a new man taking over the managerial helm, although the likes of Chris Coleman and Gianfranco Zola have been linked with the vacancy, there is the possibility that, according to the Mail on Sunday, Click Here, Phelan might be appointed as the manager of Hull City.
