When Juan Mata signed for Manchester United he was, at the time, the most expensive signing the club had made.

Allowed to leave Chelsea, by Jose Mourinho, Mata has produced some solid and some spectacular performances for Manchester United,

But, according to the Manchester Evening News, the Spanish midfielder faces an uncertain future at Old Trafford, whoever the manager will be at Old Trafford next season.

Now, if Jose Mourinho were to be the man in the hot-seat, I could understand that, with Mata having fallen foul of Mourinho`s work ethic during their time together at Old Trafford.

But aside from Mourinho, should Mata, if Manchester United have anyone else in charge, be fearful of his Old Trafford future.

Your thoughts on the subject matter would be most appreciated.
