Lurking in the inner pages of one Sunday tabloid is the inference that the Wesley Sneijder deal floundered purely due to finance.

An article infers that Manchester United were not prepared to go above £30 million for the midfield genius and we`re also not prepared to pay him anything above £175,000 a week.
