Despite his season-long heroics and his starring role in the EFL Cup Final, the future of our centre-forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic is looking as murky as ever.

With twenty-six goals to his name already this season, Zlatan has silenced those critics who believed he wouldn`t be able to cut the mustard in English football.

However, having only put pen-to-paper on a one-year deal, there is a real threat that the Swedish striker could walk away from Old Trafford.

Following the late win against Southampton, in a five-goal thriller, Zlatan once again offered no real clues about his intentions next summer, continuing to play a cat-and-mouse game with the media by remarking,

“Let`s see what happens. We have another two months of the season to go.

“According to many I could not do what I`ve been doing.”

But, according to another source, Daily Mirror, Ibrahimovic`s hesitancy with regards to staying for a second season at Manchester United, is all down to the fact that the 35-year-old wants to play in the Champions League next season, something which, at the moment, Manchester United cannot promise with any degree of certainty is going to happen.

But what are your views on the Swedish striker?

Do you believe he`ll stay another season or will he call time on his Manchester United career after just one season?

We`d certainly be interested to read your views in our comments facility.
