At his pre-match press conference, this lunch-time, ahead of the Premier League fixture with Newcastle United, the boss had some wonderful news for the Manchester United support.

Mourinho announced that two of the long-term Manchester United walking wounded would be in his eighteen-man squad, the two in question being none other than Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

For Zlatan it is a personal triumph after the Swedish striker suffered a serious knee injury, back in April, that was expected to keep him side-lined until Christmas.

Talking about the Swedish striker being available, Jose remarked,

‘He has made a full recovery, but we can’t expect him to play full 90 minutes or consecutive matches. Fitness and sharpness is everything.’

And when pressed as to whether Ibrahimovic and Romelu Lukaku can play in the same side, Mourinho added,

‘Easy.

‘Good players can play together.’

Will we see the duo alongside each other at one point during the fixture against Newcastle United?
