After signing a new contract with Manchester United, following a rapid recovery from the serious knee injury he sustained in a Europa League fixture, against Anderlecht, we wait for Zlatan Ibrahimovic to pull on our famous red-shirt again.

Originally, Ibrahimovic was expected to be out of action until January 2018, but his speedy recovery has already seen the 35-year-old Swedish striker train at Carrington under the watchful eye of the coaching staff.

So far, Ibrahimovic has been restricted to just running and shooting, but it now seems that a step up to full training could come as soon as the end of October.

The Swede`s comeback is so far ahead of schedule that there is talk of the player being available for selection for the latter stages of Manchester United`s Champions` League group games.

Splendid news I`d suggest.
