Yesterday, an article produced by us reported on how the media had perceived that Manchester United was trying to sign the Spurs striker Harry Kane.

The inference being that United was looking at trying to persuade Tottenham Hotspur to part-company with their PFA Young Player of the Year by offering the North London club £45 million for his services.

The article received a response from the Vital Spurs brigade suggesting that such a deal would never happen. In fact some of the comments left were, how you might say, vitriolic and filled with words I`m not keen on our audience reading, therefore they were deleted.

Today, one of football`s loyal servants, who just happens to be on the books of Tottenham Hotspur Football Club, Brad Friedel, has come out and remarked that he cannot see Spurs selling their prized asset.

Well, nor can we Brad, we were simply reporting on what the media headline of the day was and, just as I expected, the messenger was shot down by those scurrilous lads from White Hart Lane!
