Losing is always a hard cross to bear but to lose in the manner in which Manchester United did at the John Smith`s Stadium yesterday was disappointing.

The display lacked endeavour and was, to put it bluntly, lacklustre.

After the game, we took the opportunity to delve into the record and form books to come up with a few fascinating statistics.

? Jose Mourinho has a poor record when it comes to managing teams that fall two goals behind. On 19 occasions it has happened and Jose has yet to oversee one of those dramatic comebacks that supporters remember for year. In fact, of those 19 matches Jose has lost 18 and drawn just the 1.

? Marcus Rashford, in scoring the United consolation goal, made it 13 goals for the club, only Wayne Rooney with 15 goals has scored more goals as a teenager.

? Romelu Lukaku has now failed to score in 18 of his last 2 appearances against sides who are newly promoted.

? Manchester United have this habit of slipping up against newly promoted teams in away games. It appears 3 of the last 6 clubs making their Premier League debuts have beaten United, Burnley back in 2009 / 2010, Bournemouth in 2015 / 2016 and now Huddersfield in 2017 / 2018.
