Enthusiastic, full of energy, spurring everyone else on: these words can be safely used to describe Anderson’s performances since returning from injury. His passing is still quite wayward but with experience and games that will improve.

However, he’s one of the unluckiest players ever. Obviously I’m referring to his now infamous goal draught: I believe he played 70 games in a United shirt without scoring, penalty shootouts aside. And he had some near misses.

Actually, he had one yesterday night: James’ poor clearance allowed him to steal the ball from Mullins and fired this wide of the post… I thought it was in first! It’s looking like he won’t score ever, the closest he got is still that Champions League game at Dynamo Kiev where he hit the post.

Will he EVER break his duck?
