As we prepare to embark on a Champions League trail that will, hopefully, result in reaching the final at Wembley, the club mantra appears to be to ensure there is no early exit from the competition this time around.

The latest to join the long line of those seem determined not to witness a repeat of last season`s failings is Javier Hernandez, with the Mexican remarking ahead of the fixture with Galatasaray tonight,

“We know the history of this club.”

“We know we have to aim for the top in every competition.”

“We always look to the Champions League Final and we try to win it. That`s the only thing on our mind.”

“We want to prove we can win and not make the same mistakes we did last season.”

Anyone else reckoned that Sir Alex Ferguson has drummed that mantra into everybody at the club ahead of the Champions League campaign starting tonight!
