The signing of Robin Van Persie has certainly thrown a spanner into the works as far as the pecking order of our strikers is concerned.

Sir Alex Ferguson now has, at his disposal, an array of striking talent with Wayne Rooney, Robin Van Persie, Danny Welbeck, Javier Hernandez and Dimitar Berbatov on the books.

The acquisition of Van Persie will surely signal the departure of Berbatov whilst Welbeck (who has just put pen to paper on a new deal) and Hernandez will be pondering over just how many first team opportunities they will get.

To this effect, one prominent tabloid has gone into print with the inference that Hernandez could be moving in the opposite direction to that of Van Persie by moving to Arsenal.

Could it happen?
