The week-long transfer saga, relating to Alexis Sanchez leaving Arsenal and quite probably becoming a Manchester United player, has dominated the news headlines most of the week.

It appears that Jose Mourinho, in pursuing the 29-year-old Chilean forward, has held off the advances of other Premier League clubs including Chelsea and Manchester City.

In doing so it is being reported by one news source, Talksport, that one of the managers of those rival clubs mentioned, has accepted the move to Old Trafford is inevitable.

The manager in question being none other than the Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola with the Spaniard remarking,

‘So, congratulations for both of them. The players and their managers (agents) decide where they want to play. Good luck.’

Unless, of course, Sanchez picks up a bad injury playing for Arsenal this weekend.
