Although Ben Amos expressed a wish to make his first Premier League away start this Sunday, it`s looking increasingly like David de Gea will resume first team goalkeeping duties.

De Gea, who missed the Stoke game through illness, has had a mixed season so far and although Sir Alex Ferguson has stated he is our long term keeper, his troubles between the sticks this season have led to the boss selecting Anders Lindegaard recently.

But with Lindegaard out for the next three or four weeks De Gea has a chance to re-stake his claim to be considered the number one United keeper, furthermore, the word on the street is that De Gea will be sent out on Sunday and told to show the watching world that he does have the correct credentials to be the man between the sticks for the next decade or so!
