The Glazer family strongly denied that they are looking to sell the club.

On the eve of the West Ham game, rumours appeared about the Glazers’ alleged intention of selling the club. The speculation has resurfaced but the owners deny everything.

‘The Glazer family have a long-term commitment to Manchester United and that is not going to change,’ a family spokesman said.

‘Quite simply, they are not interested in selling the club. Why would they? They are determined to make United more successful, both on and off the pitch.’

Really, I can’t see why would they sell it now. For being unpopular? The hatred towards them calmed down, mostly due to the successful campaing, though. They do not interfere in Fergie’s work and the team is great. Prices will increase (damn) and the TV revenues are going to reach astronomical amounts next season.

Effectively, now they have the chance to make the profit they had bought the club for. They have reconstructed the debts yet again so that annual interest payments would be reduced – for bigger profit and more money to spend on players.

Selling now would be an insane thing and one can like or hate the Glazers but can’t deny they are actually quite good at business…
