It`s all getting rather interesting this Olympic football tournament.

With Ryan Giggs leading Team GB I feel kind of obliged to keep a sharp eye on events and yesterday my impending vigilance was rewarded when we were treated to a rare sight – a headed Giggs goal.

In fact, with Tom Cleverley orchestrating things in midfield I have to say I enjoyed the whole ninety minutes as Team GB beat a gallant United Arab Emirates side 3-1.

But, returning to that Giggs goal, it puts Ryan in the record books as the oldest player, at 38 years and 243 days to score in Olympic football.
