The Reds top the table holding a six-point advantage over Chelsea, scoring the most goals and conceding the fewest. Ryan Giggs told his teammates not to let their performances drop as United aim to close on the league title.

“It`s just a matter of same again for the second half of the season,” Giggs told Manchester United Radio. “It`s going to be tough and I`m sure there will be lots of twists and turns between now and the end of the season. We`ve just got to stay positive.”

The Red Devils suffered only two defeats in the first 22 games and the Welsh Wizard is delighted with the responses these blows generated.

“We went on good runs after those games and we`ll be looking to do that again.

‘Hopefully we`ll be there at the end of the season.”
