Watching that first forty-five minutes, against Tottenham; was painful.

United gave one of the poorest first half performances I can remember and although there were improvements in the second forty-five minutes, it just wasn`t good enough.

After the game, Patrice Evra came up with some spiel about putting on the United face and I`m wondering whether he does have a point when he remarked to the media,

“We put on the Man United face only in the second half against Spurs and this is not enough if we`re to win the title.”

“We must make sure in the Champions League and away at Newcastle we are back to the winning mentality we showed in the second half.”

“That`s why I say the problem was inside our heads. It was not tactics, it was not tiredness.”

“You don`t play a second half like that then make an excuse that you are tired. It`s just about your head, we didn`t start well in that game.”

And whose fault is that may I ask!
