Just hours after Robin Van Persie re-iterated not only his desire to stay at Old Trafford and fight for his place but also his wish to carry on playing football for another eight years, it looks as if another club is interested in acquiring the talents of the Dutch striker.

Over in mainland Europe, but almost bordering on Asia, the current Turkish champions, Galatasaray have aspirations of signing the Dutchman to spearhead their Champions League challenge next season.

However we must stress that at this time any possible speculation is only at the enquiry stage with a member of the Galatasaray board, Cuneyt Tanman remarking,

“We have made enquires but an offer has not been made for Van Persie!”

If offered the chance to leave Old Trafford and head towards Turkish football, do we believe Robin Van Persie would take it?

Our thoughts are no, if Van Persie is to leave Old Trafford in the near future I reckon it`s more likely that his destination would be Italy, Germany of back to his native Holland, unless an unlikely offer appears on the table from another Premier League club.
