If, or when, David De Gea does exit stage left and signs for Rea Madrid, there has been a lot of talk about who might be his successor between the posts.

Whilst there has been talk of Victor Valdes, signed from Barcelona last season, becoming United`s number one, it is also likely that Louis van Gaal will bring in someone else either to challenge Valdes for the role or to be the direct replacement for De Gea.

So far the names of Petr Cech, Asmir Begovic and Hugo Lloris have received honourable mentions, but it remains to be seen if Chelsea would let Cech join a Premier League title rival and I reckon that Daniel Levy, over at White Hart Lane, would prefer to chew razor blades than do any more business with United.

Therefore, it is perhaps not too surprising that more names continue to be thrown into the mixer and today it is being implied that Fernando Muslera could well be United`s man.

Muslera, 28 years of age, is currently on the books of the Turkish side, Galatasaray, will he be our new number one, only time will tell.
