Fulham vs Manchester United Preview

|

Manchester United face Fulham who currently sit 9th in the Premier League, four points behind United in 5th.

Fulham had an average start to the season drawing against Liverpool, and beating Brentford 3-2 but then hit a rough patch losing to Crawley Town in the Carabao cup and then suffering a 2-1 loss to Arsenal.

However, they went on to win their next three games and have had an up-and-down journey in the Premier League ever since then. It seems that the Fulham fans are enjoying the wins but also how Marco Silva’s side plays.

Parker and Jokanovic played a very similar style of football to the Portuguese however if they were in front in a match they would shut up shop and try and defend to get the win, with this Fulham side at the moment it seems that they have no fear of any opposition especially at home with them having eight games this season at craven cottage only losing one game and that was against Newcastle in a 4-1 loss.

The player to watch out for is Aleksander Mitrovic, it should come as no shock that I have picked him, being the third top goal scorer so far this season with only Kane and Haaland ahead of the Serbian.

Martinez and Maguire/Lindelof will have to be aware of Mitrovic’s aerial capabilities and also his finishing inside the 18-yard box, so communication will be the key in defence on Sunday to stop the superb Serb goal scorer.

“I think the players are all aware of the importance of the game against Fulham. I will not take the World Cup in regard,” Ten Hag said to reporters after the Carabao Cup win against Aston Villa.[ Man United ]

Ten Hag does have a valid point in the way that it is not the World Cup until after the Fulham game and as he is the coach of the team he will do what is best for United by playing the best team against the cottagers on Sunday to look to gain three points as the Red Devils look to move closer to Spurs in fourth.

Manchester United are coming off a 4-2 win against Aston Villa on Thursday and with Garnacho hitting great form it looks like Ten Hag will have a problem with what wingers to pick not just for Sunday but for the future.

The game will be aired on Sky Sports Main Event at 16:30 on Sunday.
