Fulham manager Chris Coleman says Manchester United are his tip for the top after they tore apart his team in a 5-1 thrashing.

Coleman admitted the Reds ‘steamrollered’ them and added, to sky Sports, ‘When United hit that form, you could be looking at the new champions. They were devastating at times and, to be fair to our lads, we couldn’t get anywhere near them. They steamrollered us. We couldn’t get the ball and when we did get it we gave it back too easily.’

He also says United game them a ‘lesson’ but in the Cottagers defence says ‘On that type of form, United are going to beat anybody. If they keep that up, I don’t see anybody to touch them in possession. Offensively they were absolutely devastating and we couldn’t live with them.’

And that is without our new signing Carrick or the arrival of other ‘targets’.
