Transfer tittle-tattle continues to link Manchester United with a move for the Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil.

Although the Arsenal boss, Arsene Wenger, has insisted the player will not be leaving when the January transfer window opens, the Frenchman is wise enough to know that he can receive a substantial transfer fee for the player as opposed to letting him leave for nothing when his contract expires at the end of the season.

With the scenario developing by the day, a former Manchester United favourite has stepped forward and urged Jose Mourinho to snap up the 29-year-old player.

Rio Ferdinand, as reported by the The Express, is said t have remarked on BT Sport,

“He was amazing at Real Madrid. He`s a different player to what I`ve seen here.

“His pace – he`s deceptively quick. And if you can get that out of him, his ability.

“He`s a technician and I would take him at Manchester United all-day long.”

Will Ozil become a Manchester United player soon?

I guess only time will tell!
