Recently, the suggestion amongst the media fraternity was that our former manager, David Moyes, was the favourite to fill the void left by the departure of Gordon Strachan as the Scotland manager.

Moyes had described the position as one you can`t turn down if you are offered it.

However, it appears, if one red-top publication has got its facts correct, Moyes could be set to make a return to club management.

The journalists scribing for the Mirror, are of the opinion that Moyes could be set for an emotional return to Everton Football Club.

The Goodison Park club appointed Ronald Koeman as their manager back in the summer but the Dutchman, despite spending heavily, has overseen a poor start to the season with Everton lurking just above the relegation places in the Premier League.

If Moyes were to make a return to Everton, you have to ask yourself whether the squad he inherits will provide him with the necessary tools to turn the fortunes of the club around.
