Today, at Old Trafford, I`m sure the Manchester United faithful will give Darren Fletcher a wonderful reception.

Fletcher will be making his first return to Old Trafford since leaving after making 340 appearances for United.

Darren`s battle with his debilitating illness, an illness that saw him side-lined for long periods, is something we can only admire the Scot for.

Today, Darren will be leading out West Bromwich Albion and he has been praised to the high-hit by his manager Tony Pulis, who has remarked,

“Goodness knows where we would be without Darren. He has been fantastic here, not just on the pitch but around the training ground and the dressing room.

“It`s a credit to the system at Manchester United and the way they brought their players up.”

Football is littered with instances of players coming back to former clubs and scoring, will Darren Fletcher return to Old Trafford and get on the score-sheet and if so will he celebrate or almost look embarrassed?
