After all the shenanigans relating to the Suarez and Evra affair, it`s heart-warming to read that Sir Alex Ferguson has earned some respect from the Liverpool support.

Seemingly, it`s become public knowledge that Sir Alex had made a donation to the Hillsborough Appeal with Kenny Derbyshire, chairman of the Hillsborough Justice Campaign remarking,

“It was a great gesture.”

“The first I heard that Fergie had been to Anfield to pay his respects after the disaster was this week.”

“I have always respected him for the job he has done for Manchester United – even though as a Liverpool fan I don`t like to admit it.”

“I`ve now got even more respect for him after hearing what he did back in 1989.”

“I think all Liverpool fans will respect him that little bit more after hearing that he came to Anfield to offer his support at such a difficult time.”

Not a lot more we can add is there!
