Saturday is now history!

It`s now time to focus ahead although as you`d expect, that defeat at Wembley will have some ramifications.

If we are to move forward then some changes will need to be made, changes that Sir Alex Ferguson will mull over in the weeks to come.

Rio Ferdinand has his own thoughts though and speaking after the defeat to Barcelona he considered the good points and bad points of the season, remarking about Barcelona and our season,

“They`ve set the standard and you have to get to that standard.”

“They`re a fantastic football team with great individuals, but they`re also great collectively.”

“They all know their jobs and do that well. As a team you have to aim to get to that.”

“We`ll brush ourselves down and come back fighting next season.”

“We can`t be too hard on ourselves looking back over the season. We`ve had a brilliant season in the Premier League.”

“We`ve won the title, got to another Champions League Final and an FA Cup semi-final.”

“It won`t be as bad as it feels right now, but we will be hurting for a while.”

“It`s just really disappointing. We genuinely had the belief that we were good enough to get a result, but it didn`t materialise.”

Where those aforementioned changes will come though remains to be seen.
