With his future in doubt at the club, Marouane Fellaini suffered a big blow in the defeat, at Wembley, against Tottenham Hotspur.

The Belgian midfielder, who has yet to put pen-to-paper on a new contract, with his current deal set to expire at the end of the season, was only named as a substitute against Tottenham Hotspur.

But, with Manchester United struggling, at 2-0 down, Fellaini was introduced with the hope that his powerful presence would pull Manchester United out of what was a poor showing.

Sadly, Fellaini didn`t last too long and became one of the exclusive members of the club made up of substitutes being substituted.

Following the game, at Wembley, it was announced that the Belgian had suffered a knee injury which required further assessment.

Yesterday, with Huddersfield Town being the opposition, Jose Mourinho informed the press that he would be without the Belgian for the next seven to eight weeks confirming that Fellaini had undergone knee surgery.

Our best wishes go to Marouane for a speedy recovery.
