Belated congratulations are due to our friends over at FC United of Manchester with the fledgling outfit getting through to the second round of the FA Cup.

After beating Rochdale, courtesy of a last gasp disputed winner, the non-league team were eagerly awaiting the draw for the second round.

Unfortunately, Lady Luck wasn`t smiling when the draw was made and they were given a difficult trip to face the winners of the Brighton v Woking tie.

Brighton are the current runaway leaders of League One and would start any tie as clear favourites.

However, all those romantics out there looking at an eventual pairing of Manchester United and FC United can take heart that the cup does still have its own little bit of magic when the draw for the second round paired MK Dons with AFC Wimbledon!
