Over the Easter break it was suggested that Manchester United were set to rival Chelsea for the prolific Everton striker Romelu Lukaku.

Reportedly, Jose Mourinho has a wish-list that would see Lukaku line up with Ibrahimovic and Griezmann in what would be a very potent strike-force.

However, to bring the two-established striker in to play alongside Ibrahimovic would cost the club a pretty packet.

With Griezmann already set, if he can be persuaded to make the move, £86 million is the buy-out clause in his current contract.

Today, the inference is given that Everton, if they have to lose the player they were prepared to make the best paid in the history, it will be for an enormous transfer fee.

Our associates over at the Liverpool Echo, are suggesting that, with the player under contract for another year, they`ll want a fee that exceeds the current £89 million world record-fee that Manchester United paid Juventus for Paul Pogba.

In fact, the fee that Everton want for the 23-year-old striker is a cool £100 million.

What do you make of that folks?
