Even A Dark Cloud Have A Silver Lining For Manchester United

|

Lurking in the media, over the past twenty-four hours, are a couple of interesting articles relating to shirt sponsorship.

Now whilst I consider myself to be ‘old school’ and would prefer to see Manchester United run out in just a plain red-shirt, I’m realistic enough to accept shirt sponsorship is an invaluable financial revenue stream.

However, continuing on the theme, The Times, are reporting that Manchester United’s current form could see their current record-breaking £450 million, with Chevrolet, end early.

But whilst some may consider that to be a bitter pill to swallow another source ESPN, are reporting that such a dark cloud could well have a silver lining.

It reports that United sources have revealed that there would be no shortage of sponsors when it comes to replacing Chevrolet and that a new deal could be secured that would exceed the enormous amount the Chevrolet deal brings to the Manchester United financial table.

Let’s hope that they’re right!
