An opportunity beckons on Wednesday night for Danny Welbeck.

Our young striker should, if our calculations are right, get the opportunity to further his international career when England takes on Holland, at Wembley.

The withdrawal of his team-mate, Wayne Rooney, with a throat infection and the subsequent withdrawal of Aston Villa`s Darren Bent, with a knee injury, leave Stuart Pearce somewhat bereft of strikers.

In fact, the shortage of strikers could see Welbeck start and we could also see another familiar face get an opportunity. The ex-United youngster, Frazier Campbell, is in the squad and may get the chance to make his full debut.

Two reasons to tell the wife that the friendly fixture, on Wednesday evening, is essential viewing!
