Dirk Kuyt says Liverpool need a miracle after their 4-4 draw against Arsenal yesterday. Well, the ugliest ever Dutchman is right but I’ve had enough of miracles thankyouverymuch.

It would be a miracle if United lost two games in a row, they had said but we did it, going down to Liverpool and Fulham. It would be a miracle if Chelsea and Liverpool produced a Champions League duel which is actually watchable – and it turned out to be brilliant…

It’s a miracle that yet another Arsenal player scores four at Anfield and a miracle that Liverpool equalised in extra-time and the biggest miracle could have been Fabregas’ goal had it not been disallowed.

And, with a little bit of pride, I must say that it’s a minor miracle that we won at Porto, considering that no British team have ever done that before. But for tonight I want no miracles: I want United to beat Portsmouth comfortably and take back top spot in the league.

Miracle? No thanks. Unless it means Anderson scoring…
