Don’t Believe A Word Of Those De Gea Rumours

|

Our fears, here at Vital Manchester United, have always been that David De Gea if he were to leave Old Trafford, would be heading to Real Madrid.

However, those fears were somewhat eased during the summer transfer window when the Spanish club signed Thibaut Courtois, from Chelsea.

Therefore, you can imagine my surprise when, upon scouring the media yesterday, I came across a headline that inferred De Gea will be leaving Manchester United, in the summer when his contract expires.

But, the suggested destination may come as much of a shock to you as it did to me.

The news source, the Daily Mail, is championing the inference that the 28-year-old is set to join Paris Saint-Germain!

Really!

Whilst accepting that Paris Saint-Germain are an emerging force in European football, would De Gea really fancy playing in La Ligue, a division that is hardly the most competitive in Europe.

The money and scenery might be affable but I reckon De Gea’s competitive nature would see him want a tougher test than PSG.

I may be wrong, but I doubt it!
