Whilst our noisy-neighbours seem unable, or willing, to control the maverick Mario Balotelli, it`s interesting to note that our own disciplinary record this season is pretty damn good.

Even the, sometimes, hot-headed Wayne Rooney has got his act together and has now gone 28 games without receiving a card, something that might amaze a few people hen you consider that this time last season Wayne was ranting and raving at a television camera after hitting the net.

Sir Alex Ferguson, ahead of the fixture at the DW Stadium, against Wigan, has commented on the discipline situation relating it to maturity,

“You always see a maturity about players when they reach their mid-20`s.”

“Along with their ability comes the maturity, the thought patterns and the timing – it all comes into their game. They are more in control of themselves in terms of what they are doing. Experience helps of course.”

“I don`t think Wayne`s had many bookings, but as a team we haven`t had that many compared with others.”

“And we`ve only had one sending-off, Jonny Evans.”

I`d like to think that Sir Alex hasn`t put the mockers on it and that, tonight, we`ll see an incident free ninety minutes, discipline wise.
