Life is tough for Angel Di Maria at the moment.

Our record signing hasn`t started in our last two games, fixtures that have produced, some might say, our best performances of the season against Spurs and Liverpool.

The form of one Juan Mata has kept our record signing on the bench, although it should be pointed out that Di Maria came off of the bench at Anfield to set up Mata`s sublime second goal.

It seems that Louis van Gaal, on the back of Mata`s recent performances, was never going to leave Mata out, with our Dutch manager remarking,

“I wasn`t going to change my best player. When you play well, you shall always play. Mata has confirmed again what he can do.”

With talk in the media this morning of Angel Di Maria`s agents looking for a new club for our record signing, could he really be set to leave Old Trafford this summer after just a one-season stay, I wouldn`t bet against it.
