Defenders Free to Leave Manchester United This Summer

|

This summer, we’re expecting several players to leave the club and several new arrivals, as Jose Mourinho seeks to reshape his squad for the 2018 / 2019 season.

The obvious aim is for the club to challenge for the Premier League title, although catching Manchester City could be a huge task, with Pep Guardiola sure to strengthen the reigning champions.

As a consequence of reshaping the squad, it is obvious that we’ll be saying goodbye to some familiar faces, some expected and, perhaps, some unexpected.

Two players that have been told they are free to leave this summer, according to the news vehicle, The Times are Matteo Darmian and Daley Blind.

Darmain, who has seen his Old Trafford career stutter this season, is expected to resume talks with Juventus regarding a move, but Blind’s future is uncertain.

The versatile Dutchman may make a return to Holland but, at 28-years-of-age, he could find himself the subject of interest from clubs in France, Spain or Germany.

Here at Vital Manchester United we’ll keep an eye out for any developments relating to the duo and report back as deemed necessary.
