Our apparent interest in an Italian centre back continues to generate column inches.

This morning we`re reliably informed by one red-top publication that if United wish to secure the services of the Torino centre-back Angelo Ogbanna then we`ll have to cough up a cool £16 million.

However his club appear reluctant to do a deal with their Sporting Director, Gianluca Petrachi remarking about the 24 year-old,

“I guarantee there are observers of many foreign clubs who follow our games, including United`s scouts.”

“Most of the time they come just to see Ogbanna because he is a player who has great potential.”

“Last year we refused £10 million for him but it is clear he is worth more than £16 million.”

“Angelo has the desire to do better but I believe he should continue to grow with Torino.”

But like they say, money talks!
