In previous articles we`ve covered Manchester United`s interest in a young Portuguese midfielder.

The midfielder in question being Renato Sanches who, at just eighteen years of age, has already made his international debut for Portugal.

Sanches is one of the most exciting prospects in Europe and it is being reported in the Sun this morning that Manchester United have sealed a deal to bring the youngster to Old Trafford.

Apparently, a fee of £39 million has been agreed and the Benfica President, one Luis Filipe Vieira, has been in Manchester for the last couple of days to push the deal through.

At just eighteen years of age, and if the deal has been done, it remains to be seen whether Sanches will gate-crash the starting eleven on a regular basis or will have to bide his time.

Interesting times ahead methinks!
