De Gea Knows Manchester United Really Have No Choice

|

When Real Madrid signalled their intentions when it came to a long-term goalkeeper signing by signing Thibaut Courtois, from Chelsea, I thought we could all rest easy when it came to the future of David de Gea.

But that is proving to be far from the case.

It seems that the 28-year-old Spanish international is intent on driving a hard bargain when it comes to contract talks.

According to the news source, the Telegraph, de Gea is looking for a financial deal that will put him on a par with the current highest-paid player at Old Trafford, Alexis Sanchez.

Whilst most of us would balk at that demand, it is worth remembering how difficult it is to get hold of a world-class goalkeeper.

Manchester United supporters would do well to remember the strife we had replacing the likes of Peter Schmeichel and Edwin van der Sar.

Therefore, if, as we suspect, the club is serious when it comes to trying to knock Manchester City of their lofty pedestal next season, it has to be a case of giving the lad what he wants!

Is that a thought you concur or perhaps disagree with?

Give Ole Gunner Solksjaer permanent and bargain with DeGea and extend its contract. Romero is a good keeper too. Sale Alexis Sanchez because he is not leaving to the expectations rather causing problem with other players contract due to his wages as a case study.

I completely agree that there must be behind backs talk with the players, about Alexis Sanchez wage, who on earth would leave a job with them wages. Regarding who should be made captain, my obvious choice would be Ashley Young, however I do realise, even though he is a fantastic player he is getting on a bit
