The clash between two of the nations most famous clubs, this lunchtime, will see the world paying close attention to the encounter.

Ahead of the clash, Sir Alex Ferguson has asked that the sick taunts, something that has sadly crept back into football, be cut out, with the Scot commenting a this pre-match press conference,

“The history of both clubs should be appreciated by both sets of fans.”

“When I hear the silly chants about Munich or Hillsborough, I don`t think it does ether club any good at all.”

“Without each other, it wouldn`t be the English league. If it came to a stage where fans are banned from each others grounds, it wouldn`t be the same.”

“The respect for both clubs` histories should be adhered to. The intensity, the rivalry, the great footballers – for me, it`s the game of the season.”

“Although things may change in the next few years with Manchester City. I`ve always considered Manchester united v Liverpool to be the game of the season and at the moment it remains that.”

Once again the gaffer speaks perfect common sense.
