There`s conflicting stories in the tabloid press this morning in relation to the future of Angel Di Maria.

One tabloid leads with the news that a certain Lionel Messi is pleading with his fellow Argentine international to jump off the Old Trafford ship and climb aboard the Barcelona one to end his, supposed, Old Trafford hell, the cheek of it.

But the other is coming at the Di Angel conundrum from a completely different angle. It`s suggesting that Angel has no intention, or desire, of leaving the Theatre of Dreams and when pushed on the idea that he would be leaving the Argentine international answered,

“No, I`m not thinking like that. In Madrid there were times when I was whistled around the stadium but faced it and turned things around. I like to deal with things.

“I started well, with goals and assists, I was having a good time, until I was out. It`s a little hard to explain why I do not play.”

That little old thing called confidence I`d suggest. Hopefully a good pre-season and one free of injuries, will see Di Maria get back to the kind of form everyone knows he can produce.
