Cloudy Waters Begin To Clear Regarding The Future Of United Striker

|

Yesterday, we touched on the probability of whether Romelu Lukaku had played his last game for Manchester United.

Our article, Click Here inferred that I believed Lukaku would be leaving Old Trafford this summer but that his destination had still to be sorted.

Yesterday, the front-runners for his signature were Inter Milan and Paris Saint-Germain.

However overnight, it appears the scenario is an ever-changing one.

Lurking in the Italian media source, sportmediaset, is the inference that United have named their price for the striker and the Italian club will have to pay a transfer fee in the region of £62 million, less than United paid Everton for the 26-year-old striker.

But it appears any such move isn’t going to be the smoothest.

The tabloid publication, The Sun say Inter are struggling to comply with the strict financial framework stipulated by the Financial Fair Play regulations and have to generate £40 million not to commit an infringement.

If that is the case it opens the door for Paris Saint-Germain to nail this deal.

As I said, I firmly believe Lukaku is off but perhaps, because of the latest revelation, the guessing game as to where he’s headed might just have gotten a little easier.
