Now a free agent, after his contract at Old Trafford expired, tabloid speculation continues to grow as to where the former England midfielder Tom Cleverley will end up.

Cleverley, who spent last season on a season long loan deal at Aston Villa, was part of the Villa side that crumbled under an Arsenal onslaught in the FA Cup Final, at Wembley, on Saturday afternoon.

His recent form, for the Midlands side, had been pretty decent since Tim Sherwood took over from Paul Lambert and Tom almost earned a recall to Roy Hodgson`s England squad.

The indications were that Cleverley would opt of a permanent deal at Villa Park but his availability has alerted two other Premier League clubs with Everton and Southampton also, supposedly, keen to acquire his services.

Roberto Martinez, the Everton manager, had a young Cleverley on loan when he was at Wigan whilst a chance to play for high-flying Southampton, under Ronald Koeman, might also appeal to Tom.

Spoilt for choice, it`ll be interesting to see where Tom ends up.
