Lady Luck hasn`t smiled on Jose Mourinho as he prepares to make another return to Stamford Bridge, his second as the boss of Manchester United.

Looking to avenge the 4-0 defeat inflicted upon his side, in the Premier League, by the runaway leaders, Jose`s squad has been hit by the unavailability of four strikers.

Throw into the mixer the fact the FA Cup quarter-final tie comes sandwiched between the two legs of the Europa League last-16 knockout tie against the Russian side FC Rostov, a tie included a 4,200 mile trip last week, and Jose probably does have a lot to moan about.

Ahead of the trip to take on Chelsea, at Stamford Bridge, Jose has lamented,

‘We cannot go with Nicky Butt’s team. Manchester United is too big. Manchester United is the winner of the competition.

‘It is not Chelsea’s fault that we were given this Monday match, so we have to make changes for sure… but we cannot go to Stamford Bridge with a Nicky Butt team.’

It`ll be interesting to see what line-up Jose goes for against an in-form team.

As for our opponents, Antonio Conte, in talking to the media at his pre-match press conference, praised United, remarking,

‘In October, before the game I was sure of facing a great team. It’s the same now. Manchester United have, together with City, the best squad in the league.

‘We have a good identity. We are showing good football, but for sure it will be a really tough game against a good team.

‘I hope to be favourites, but to show this on the pitch, not only in the words. The facts are on the pitch. We must talk during the game on the pitch, not before. I prefer to focus on the game, and my players to speak with facts.’

It should be quite a quarter-final tonight!
