Talk in the media suggests that Manchester United are in competition with Liverpool to sign a young teenage striker.

The striker in question is just 17-years-of-age but already attracting interest from Premier League clubs.

According to the Daily Mirror, Manchester United are competing with Liverpool to obtain the signature of the Nottingham Forest striker Ben Brereton.

As always, signing somebody as young as Ben is a risk. Although he looks to be an emerging talent so many fall by the wayside as that step up in class, to become a Premier League striker, proves too much of an obstacle to overcome.

But, as they say, if you don`t buy a ticket you won`t win the prize.

All we`ve got to do is persuade him Liverpool is not the place to be!
