United have one foot in the semi-finals of the Champions League but we must not leave the other one behind, warns Wes Brown.

The 2-0 victory at the Stadio Olimpico sent out a warning signal to all Europe but with all the defensive crisis going on, it’s still not certain that we will reach the last four. It is vital, Brown says, that our focus will be total and our attention will not drift away.

‘It is easy to say we are through but Roma are a quality side. They could nick a goal.

‘We have got to go into the second leg the way we did in the first game.

‘It is important to be patient and when we get chances, we must punish them.’

We had to endure a nervous time against Lyon because of our failure to take our chances. That should not happen again – a quick goal would go a long way to ensure a relaxed night’s work.
