It`s fair to say that since his arrival our Spanish goalkeeper, David De Gea, has improved his game dramatically.

Gone are the days when he flapped at crosses and lacked a physical presence in the area, he is now, quite rightly, recognised as the first choice keeper at Old Trafford.

However, a former United keeper reckons that under the tutorship of Louis van Gaal, De Gea can go on to be the best in the world between the sticks.

Talking about De Gea, this is what our former Dutch keeper, Raimond Van der Gouw, had to say about the young Spaniard when asked if he could become the best in the world,

“Why not? He`s a top goalkeeper now and Louis van Gaal will make him even better.”

“When he came to England, he had to adapt to a new system and language, but when you come through all of that you are really strong.”

Is Van der Gouw right, can David De Gea become the best in the world?
