Benfica State Their Terms If Manchester United Want Their Prized Asset

|

The last time, here at Vital Manchester United, we mentioned the talented young Portuguese attacker, Joao Felix, our article didn’t hold up much hope of the Benfica player coming to Old Trafford.

Our article, Click Here, covered the suggestion that our near-neighbours, Manchester City, had snuck ahead of us in the race to acquire the teenager’s services by opening talks with his club, Benfica.

Today, the name of Manchester United is again mentioned in the same sentence as that of the 19-year-old by the Mirror, with our source claiming that the Benfica president, Luis Fillipe Vieira, may be willing to agree to a sale, to another club, but with strings attached.

It seems that Benfica will sanction the sale of Joao Felix but only if they can retain his services for a further season.

Now, that is a practice that has been sanctioned by other clubs in order to snare a talent but will it be the case this time around?

I’m asking the question because it’ll be, in my opinion, a brave club that is willing to pay in excess of £100 million for a player knowing that they’ll not be able to utilise him until the 2019 / 2020 season whilst also running the risk that a serious injury could be sustained during the loan spell.

Can you see Manchester United going down that route?

Absolutely, let him stay there another season. Same with Rice. Get Bruno Fernandes and Thomas Partey now, then let’s see what Pogba does before throwing the hat in the ring for Maddison.

Donnarumma or Maignan, Wan-Bissaka, Ruben Dias & Sebastian Haller.

With Lukaku, Sanchez & De Gea off, extend Mata, sell Jones, Rojo, Darmian and trade Bailly if we can get a top notch CB, in addition to Dias.

The building blocks will then be in place.

My opinion is to man.utd. to do all transfers in time before other clubs hijack their target for us to have team and compete with like of man city Liverpool and other. I don’t know why they are still keeping someone like Ashley Young Rojo and Chris Smalling. Up Red Devil.

Am not here to comment neither am I here to give opinion but to ask questions, the questions are for WOODWARD. Is Woodward crazy or mad?why is he not signing players, the money is there. Is it when other clubs sign all the good players that is when he would start doing the late signing. Am seek and tired of Woodward, he should get out of great Man Utd.

Man Utd can not buy 1st eleven now. We should look into key positions that need reinforcement. But before then, solksjaer should design a tactic and formation that he wants to be playing and go to market to bring guys who can play such tactics and formation and open the door for those players that won’t blend with that pattern .
Players like dmaria, depay, and the likes had both had spells in United and it was as if these guys were not good while playing for United but after they left we saw what they are doing in their clubs now and the same thing will happen to lukaku if he lives United.
In my opinion, which I know deeply well that will favour man u a great deal, Man Utd should focus on removing the leading mid field role from pogba, pogba is not a leader and has never been but his contribution on the field is well noted, if he’s in form he outstandingly good to watch, but pogba is an on and off player so he shouldnt be made a leading figure on the field but a silent killer. In that case, Man Utd should do everything possible to land Bruno long term then rakitic and ozil short term as back up pending the time they get a much younger player to feel that role.
Right wing has been a position where Man Utd has been lagging for a while now since Valencia became deployed to 2( right full back) meanwhile, Utd want a left footed player to feel that space but they’ve not been smart enough all these while. in this case, they should make Douglas Costa and Ziyech their priority Gareth Bale their second option if they can get the three of them best for the team but they must at least get Douglas and any other among the remaining two.

Another area which Utd needs to focus on is supporting striker or assistant center forward that role left by Rooney, Felix is Utd favorite for now but taking 19years old Felix at such amount is big gamble, I’ve watched him play, and sincerely speaking he can only triumph better in guardiola’s team not this currently shaky Utd, however, that shouldn’t stop Utd from going for him, maybe before his second contract he would have been in control of his game, but I will suggest Utd should move for Rodrigo Moreno of Valencia for this purpose on a short term deal, pending the time Felix would become Felix
If dalot will not be focused in taking up the right full back role he should leave, Damian should remain to back him up and should be given playing time as well. Utd should not overhaul their central defense for now but gradually, Rojo should go, young will give back up for Shaw, lindeolf should be Man Utd Main center half along side any who is fit.

Sanchez is living already, he won’t be missed.

Finally, this is my opinion, with a team like this Utd can play any form of 4 4 2 and 4 3 3 and definitely, top 4 will be theirs.

Stop pricing every player make d signing oga

  • Peter says:

Man Utd should buy player’s not pricing them. Please

  • Weyinmi Bobby Akuirene says:

Too much talk and publicity and no signings.
I just think that Man United should get their acts together and give us a surprise.
Let us wake up in the morning and hear that we have bought this player and that player, rather than getting involved in all the negotiations and announcing players that are not bought yet to whet our appetite.
Time for action and less talk. Announce vital signings into various departments where we had challenges last term so as to get them ready before the pre season tour.
