Although there`ll be a lot of focus on what goes on pitch-side at Anfield, United supporters will be only too aware that their presence, inside Anfield, will be the focus of similar attention.

Sir Alex Ferguson has already sent out a letter to all those with tickets for the game advising them of the standards of behaviour the club expects – no standing, no blocking the aisles and being courteous to the stewards, but now we`ve had another word in our ears from the guy who has been designated as the match commander.

Jon Ward, talking about the forthcoming clash had this to say,

“As always, my officers will be dealing with the fans as they would expect to be treated themselves.”

“But we will take action where necessary against those individuals who may seek to cause problems or misbehave.”

We`ve been warned!
